Each was nominated Monday for Artist Of The Year, along with fellow three-time nominee Elizabeth Cook, and the two teamed up for several nominations on their collaboration, “Band of Joy.”
The record earned the former Led Zeppelin singer a nomination for Album Of The Year. The Band Of Joy – Plant’s all-star group of collaborators, which includes co-producer Miller - earned a nod in the Duo/Group category
Miller is also up for Instrumentalist Of The Year.
The Americana Awards take place October 13 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
Members of the Americana Music Association vote on the nominees, with results revealed during the performance-heavy Honors & Awards program, the centerpiece of the Oct. 12-15 Americana Music Festival and Conference.
The festival includes performances from Americana artists (official though nebulous, big-tent definition: “music that honors and derives from the traditions of American roots music”) at numerous Nashville clubs.
