KISS: studio update from Tommy Thayer

KISS are in full-on business mode these days, as the band is in the studio working on its new album, the follow-up to 2009’s “Sonic Boom.”

With Paul Stanley producing, things seem to be moving quickly, as KISS have already laid down basic tracks for five (5) new songs.

“It's been a great week in the recording studio working on the brand new KISS album,” writes guitarist Tommy Thayer (who plays Ace). “It truly sounds amazing and the new songs are kicking my ass. We cut basic tracks for a bunch of songs together as a unit in the studio for two or three days. We all agreed that we've never got tracks that sound this good before.”

“Yesterday (Sunday), I took a shot at a few guitar solos. Paul's producing and doing a superb job steering the ship. Stay tuned for more updates soon...”

The new project is expected to be released before the end of the year.
