Of Blues.
In Boston.
Last Friday.
Jamming with Boston punk rockers the Dropkick Murphys.
Bruce Springsteen hooked up with the Dropkick Murphys at one of their hometown shows to play three songs with the band: “Peg O’ My Heart,” “Badlands” and “I’m Shipping Up To Boston.”
The Dropkicks' new album, “Going Out In Style,” released a few weeks ago, features guest vocals by Springsteen on “Peg O' My Heart.”
"All we told him was, 'It would be great to trade off on verses,'" bassist and singer Ken Casey told Rolling Stone earlier this year. "You don't really give the Boss instructions."
Opening up the Boston show was Against Me, which features E Street Band drummer Max Weinberg's son Jay on drums; Max was seen in the balcony proudly watching his son.
