Former Oasis leader denies solo album recording rumors

It’s going to be a while before we see the debut solo album from former Oasis leader Noel Gallagher.

The NME reports Gallagher claims he hasn’t started working on it yet.

"I am not recording new stuff, not just yet," Noel told radio station Talksport on Wednesday. "It'll be out when it's finished I guess. Well, I've not even started it, so I don't know."

"I'd have thought, probably,” added Gallagher, “if anything comes out, it'll be later rather than sooner.”

Rumors are that Noel’s project is, in fact, underway. Last November, Miles Kane of the Last Shadow Puppets said he played guitar on the album, while Gallagher played on a track on Kane’s solo disc.

Meanwhile, brother Liam’s new project, Beady Eye, release their debut, “Different gear, Still Speeding,” on February 28.
