"We're talking, we have to write songs now," Plant told the Pulse Of Radio. "It's all very well celebrating other people's songwriting, and I know there are other artists who have had an entire career; whether it be Elvis (Presley) or (Frank) Sinatra, or a lot of the country artists who never write. But we've got to be heading that way soon."
Plant didn’t elaborate on whether the disc would contain entirely original material, or simply more than the debut. BOJ features “Central Two-O-Nine,” written by Plant and guitarist Buddy Miller, which serves as the lone original in a set that includes versions of songs by Los Lobos, Richard Thompson, Townes Van Zandt and others.
Robert and BOJ are currently on tour across North America; you can check out my review of night one of the two Toronto shows over the weekend here.
