Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong is returning to the cast of American Idiot for 50 performances starting January 1, 2011 through February 27, 2011.
Arsmtrong will reprise his role as “St. Jimmy” in the musical production.

NOTE: Armstrong will not appear as "St. Jimmy" from January 11 to January 16 and from February 1 to February 9.
This move is sure to help business in January, traditionally a slow sales month everywhere following the splurge of holiday spending.
In late September, between tour dates, Armstrong was on Broadway for 8 performances of the musical, and ticket sales jumped to more than a million dollars for the week, compared to less than half of that the week prior. At the time, the average weekly gross for “American Idiot” had been $740,000 since it opened on April 20 (yes, 4/20).
