Bruce Springsteen and Amazon are offering up some FREE Bruce.
Springsteen announced today that his essays for the deluxe edition of “The Promise” are available as a free download for Kindle users, via Amazon.
In two essays, Springsteen discusses the making of his classic album, “Darkness On The Edge Of Town,” as well as his forthcoming album, “The Promise,” which features 21 new tracks taken from the "Darkness" sessions.
The first essay is taken from Springsteen's 1998 book, “Songs” - the second appears in Springsteen's forthcoming releases, “The Promise” and “The Promise: The Darkness On The Edge Of Town Story.”
Following its recent premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (see “Springsteen Rocks Toronto Film Fest” here and “Watch Springsteen Toronto Film Fest interview” here), HBO will premiere “The Promise” this Thursday, October 7 at 9:00pm eastern.
