Last year’s Sound Relief concerts in Australia raised awareness and funds to help deal with that country’s biggest natural disasters: the February 2009 Victoria bushfires and the Queensland floods.
On March 14, 2009, two concerts were held in Melbourne and Sydney, featuring a host of Aussie rock’s finest playing alongside some top international acts, including Midnight Oil, Hunters & Collectors, Coldplay, Split Enz, Wolfmother, Jet, Kings Of Leon and more.
Between the events and a live DVD sold months later, the cause has raised more than 9 million dollars in the past year.
With only three songs on the DVD, I managed to locate the full set, as broadcast live, by Aussie rock legends the Hoodoo Gurus.
Enjoy !
